More Than A Roof Foundation

A special partnership has formed between More Than A Roof and Soulkitchen, a unique ministry founded by internationally trained chef Hannes Tischausser and his wife Louise.  This partnership brings low cost, nutritious meals to the tenants of More Than A Roof Housing communities in Vancouver through a weekly meal program.

The partnership also gives Soulkitchen the opportunity to utilize the commercial kitchen located in one of the More Than A Roof buildings to make soup, sandwiches and other food items to donate to local SRO’s and to give away to those living on the streets of downtown Vancouver.  A local church, Westside Church, has also commissioned Soulkitchen to make pots of soup for their once-a-month ‘Melting Pot’ ministry that gives soup away.  The pots of soup are also made in the More Than A Roof kitchen facility.
