Corey joined the board in December of 2015. Having studied English and Sociology at Simon Fraser University, Corey is a general contractor for his family’s business offering a hands-on approach to building and an exceptional commitment to customer service. Specializing in both high-end custom and affordable single family residences, Corey has gained experience making practically based, effective decisions that have spurred growth and maintained stability for the business.
Looking for an opportunity to help with homeless and poverty issues, as a board member with More Than A Roof, Corey is making a difference by contributing to the decision making process as it relates to his experience in business and project management. His interpersonal skills developed through managing trades, city officials and homeowners offers sound communication with other members of the organization as well as tenants from a “team player” approach. Corey has experience as an advisor to the board of Nation’s Cry and their work in Sierra Leone, as well as being an active volunteer in his local faith community. He lives in East Vancouver with his wife and three young children.
